If you told me 10 years ago, "Amy you are going to be a Photographer and a stay at home Mom," I would have said "Yeah right, I don't even know how to take a picture and what kids!" Please do not think I picked up a camera and my photos were crazy good! They were awful, and yet I had a passion for it and drive for photography. There is something about taking photos of families, kids, and couples and being able to tell their in-the-moment stories. Stories their grandkids will hear about and be able to learn more about their loved ones. I love playing games, running, laughing, exploring, cuddlings, and playing during sessions (with all ages ;) ). My goal is to make you feel comfortable and yourself during your session, that is truly how the best photos can be created.
A little about me, I don’t know how to drive a manual car, yet I have my motorcycle license! My husband and I are high school sweethearts and have been together for 13 years. We decided to raise some pretty cool humans; we are in the thick of toddler life. As a family, we really enjoy hanging out at home on the North East side of the Twin Cities suburbs. We spend a lot of time outside with our dogs, going to the cabin, exploring nearby parks, and traveling! When I can sneak away for a little bit, I love going to my cross training gym, hanging out with my friends (best friends are still from Kindergarten, is that just such a Midwest thing or what!), and thrifting to find all the hidden treasures.
A lot of people think my middle name or last name is Ray, but is actually my Dad’s middle name. He passed away when I was young and I wanted to honor him by stitching his middle name with my passion.
